Finding a campsite you’d happily return to — not just once, but year after year — can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. The kind of place where you know food can be purchased from a delicious on-site food truck, the welcome is warm, and the memories just keep on flooding in.
That’s exactly the magic you’ll find at Hill Farm Camping, Glamping and Caravan Site. Mi casa es su casa is the vibe here — and yes, we really do have guests who visit every few weeks for a relaxed, grounding weekend in the rolling hills of Derbyshire.

Why Our Glamping Pods Are Different
Years ago, we introduced our glamping pods with hot tubs for guests who love the great outdoors, but prefer not to wrestle with tent poles. Each year, we’ve added little touches to make them even better — from BBQs to luxury, covered hot tubs.
Now, you can sink into your bubbling hot tub under a gorgeous gazebo, gazing out over our wildlife-rich pond. In spring, watch the moorhens paddle past. In autumn, enjoy fiery sunsets, and in winter, snow-covered tree tops and crunchy grass.
Our campsite is known for space, clean facilities and high quality in everything we do.
The campsite is fantastic on its own, but summer brings extra treats— a daily visit from the local ice-cream van and our very own on-site food truck, serving freshly cooked meals delivered straight to your pod, bell tent or pitch.
What could be more perfect?
The BEST of Derbyshire right on your doorstep
If you can prise yourself away from your hot tub and glamping pod, you can wander along the canal towpath, visit local pubs and explore historic towns. Don’t miss out on Melbourne and Swarkestone, or discovering the nature trails around Mercia Marina. Your dog will love them much as you do! We’re perfectly placed for:

So, ready and waiting for you are our cosy pods and gorgeous bell tents. Did we mention they come with a hot tub (or cool dipping tub for hot summer days)?
I mentioned earlier that you can grab breakfast from Sam’s food truck, well, plan dinner with us too! Then after a family day out adventuring, you can literally arrive back to your tent with dinner ready on the table!

If you’ve never camped with kids before, I’d recommend booking a bell tent, our beautiful Lotus Belles create magic, and take a lot of stress away from a camping trip. No tent to put up (arguments averted) and no wet, muddy tent to deal with when you get home, win win!

Here’s what you’ve been crying out for- NEW changes for 2025 💫
👌 All our lights around the pods and gazebos are currently solar and don’t work 24/7 in winter. We know this has been a let-down for some guests. SO we are going electric with lights — everything will be lit up all the time in the winter.
😆 All pods have mains electric (not solar), we have 4 bell tents left to do.
⛺️ We've added 2 more standard lotus belle tents to our site this year!
🌮 SAY HELLO to a street food truck this year. All details are here
🤐 OUR LIPS ARE SEALED RIGHT NOW, BUT WE HAVE ONE MORE GLAMPING ADDITION BREWING…
